Fast Track Training 2008
If you have attended Fast Track as a delegate, you are eligible to apply for our series of further training sessions, which are heavily subsidised. Past training has included the following:
Pitching
This course examines the written and verbal skills required for a successful pitch, including looking at how to write an effective proposal , how the market works and how best to present your projects. Delegates will have the opportunity to pitch to a commissioning editor on the second day.
Directing
This workshop includes directing theory, but has a focus on hands on learning. You will learn both technical and creative skills and have the opportunity to create your own piece of work from beginning to end – including coming up with the concept, shooting, directing the scenes and editing the rushes.
Editing
Learn how to edit using Final Cut Pro software, looking at techniques, shortcuts and creative skills. This is a practical course that will also teach you how to edit with music, titles and sound and visual effects.
Career Management
The aim of this workshop, which has been specially designed for Fast Track delegates, is to develop your TV career through effective career management planning. The course includes looking at CVs, applications, networking, skills assessment, selling yourself, climbing up the ladder and much more!
