Jill started out as a journalist and film-maker for CBC in Canada and went on to make films for Discovery Channel in Canada and was subsequently hired as head of programming for their factual channels portfolio.  While at Discovery Canada Jill initiated several co-productions with UK terrestrial broadcasters including the Emmy, RTS, and Grierson-nominated How Trekkies Changed the World for five and Dr. Tatiana's Sex Advice to All Creation, an evolutionary biology musical for C4.  Jill was recruited to head up Discovery Channel in the UK and latterly to run content for all 11 channels in the Discovery portfolio. 

Jill moved to Paramount Comedy in September 2007; the first of her commissions are a 14 x 30 series of Grouchy Young Men and a 12 x 30 series Dirty Sexy Funny featuring rising UK star Olivia Lee.  In 2009 Jill spearheaded the team behind the re-launch of Paramount Comedy to Comedy Central.
