Jane is responsible for UKTV’s commissioning strategy across its entertainment and factual entertainment channels.  Since joining in September 2007, Jane has commissioned a raft of creative, noisy and cut-through series that have something to say about who we are and how we live today, including Ty Pennington’s Great British Adventure for Home; James Martin’s Brittany / Champagne and Market Kitchen for Good Food; Batteries Not Included and World Rally Championship for Dave; Blackadder: The Whole Rotten Saga for G.O.L.D.; and the feature length theatrical release In the Land of the Free (in association with Gold Circle Film) for Yesterday. 

Jane’s first commissioning role was at ITV as Controller of Features, prior to this, Jane worked in the independent sector, including Mentorn where her team was responsible for some of the very first in Channel 4’s Bodyshock series.  Jane started her career in 1989 as a BBC trainee in news and current affairs in Northern Ireland.
